Escape #2 this Saturday

Sean-Paul To Defy Death In Milk Can Escape This Saturday Night

(EUREKA SPRINGS, AR) — The “Thirty Days of Houdini” continues here this Saturday night when local illusionist and escape artist, Sean-Paul of Intrigue Theater, tries to “defy death” when he reenacts Harry Houdini’s world-famous Milk Can Escape.  This near-impossible escape is scheduled for 7 o’clock in Basin Spring Park that is located in the heart of Eureka Springs Downtown Historic District.

This escape, originally scheduled for October 20, was postponed as explained by Sean-Paul in a Facebook post,  “I regret to tell you that I have decided to reschedule the Milk Can Escape.  My decision comes as a result of a rehearsal yesterday when, while picking the handcuffs under water in the sealed milk can, I started to panic and needed to have the lid unlocked and removed by my assistants.  I am pretty shook up about the event and feel that I need more time to prepare for this stunt since failure means a drowning death.”

Sean-Paul started his “Thirty Days of Houdini” earlier this month when he escaped out of a strait jacket while dangling upside down here off the fifth floor balcony railing of the 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa.  He returns to The Crescent on Halloween night to complete his month-long homage to the world’s greatest escape artist when he conducts a séance in the hotel’s Crystal Ballroom in an effort to reach across to “the other side” and communicate with Houdini who died on October 31, 1926.

A special Intrigue Theater performance beginning at 10 o’clock precedes the midnight séance.  This ticketed event has limited seating.  For tickets, one should call the 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa at 479-253-9766 or purchase online tickets here!
