Allison Brooks & Ben Scott – October 2, 2010
Why did you choose a Destination Wedding?
Our friends and family are spread across the country, no matter where we held our wedding, we knew the majority would be traveling. We loved that our wedding became a mini-vacation for everyone to a unique and magical town.
How did you meet Ben?
Ben came for an interview at the Architecture firm where I was working. Within minutes I told the Principal Architect that Ben needed to be hired as he was going to be my new boyfriend. We all laughed it off, but 5 years later, he’s now my husband!
What was the most romantic moment of the day?
It had to be the first moment that Ben and I saw each other during a private photo session before the wedding. The weight of months of planning and chaos just lifted once we got to hold each other.
What was your experience with the Crescent Hotel & Spa?
The team at the Crescent Hotel was of great assistance, and proved that even the smallest details mattered to them as much as it did to us! The Spa treated us with grace and provided amazing services – we all looked absolutely gorgeous!

Katie Holland& Mike Adams – September 5, 2010
Tell us about the proposal.
For my birthday we had dinner in the Crystal Dining Room of the Hotel. It was so romantic because were the only ones there! After dinner, he got down on one knee and proposed. I sat in shock for 10 min and then began to cry…..for 45 minutes more!! Looking back, I should have caught on with all the signs and how nervous Mike seemed…..but I’m glad I didn’t!
What do you love most about your husband?
He is the most humble and honest man I’ve ever met. I am a better person because he is in my life; where I lack, he fills me in.
What was your favorite part of the wedding?
That’s a hard one, probably when Mike was taking off my garter and he discovered it was a Razorback one. I love surprises and I love that cheesy tradition!
Why did you choose the Basin Park Hotel?
There were many reasons we chose the Basin; the beauty of the building and the Ballroom coupled with the location, being in the center of everything, was more than perfect! Also, my experience with Management was wonderful.
